Supporting Vibrant Jewish Life

Partnerships and Collaboration

EJF Philanthropies is committed to creating and sustaining vibrant Jewish life now and for generations to come. As an organization, we believe in the importance of co-creation and collaboration.  The following are just a few examples of the many partnerships with which we have been involved:

  • We supported the DC-area marketing and outreach for Jscreen, a Jewish genetic screening project that tests for more than 80 genetic diseases (in partnership with the Marcus Foundation)

  • We work with The Morningstar Foundation and the United Jewish Endowment Fund of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington to support GatherDC, which supports young adult Jewish life in the Washington, DC region.

  • We collaborated with the Young Jewish Funders of Arizona to provide a matching grant for PJ Library, so that new donors in the Phoenix area would have their donations matched 2:1. PJ Library mails free, high-quality Jewish children’s literature and music to families across the continent on a monthly basis.

  • We partnered with The John Templeton Foundation on a Scientists and Synagogues initiative, which explored how Jewish scientists grapple with the interplay between science and Judaism.

More information about our emphasis on collaboration is described in this article by Simone Friedman.
